You have until the first Monday after Add/Drop closes to change your meal plan. After this period, you may choose a new meal plan at the beginning of each following semester.
Yes and No. Any unused meal swipes are forfeited at the close of each semester. However, Dining Dollars rollover from the Fall to the Spring semester. Any Dining Dollars remaining on your Connect Card at the close of the Spring semester will be forfeited. Flex Dollars, which are separate from the meal plan, remain on your account during your enrollment at Bridgewater State University. Add Flex Now
Your meal plan comes with a set number of meal swipes and dining dollars. Meal swipes are used to gain entry to our two All You Care to Eat Community Dining Halls: East Campus Commons and Flynn Dining Commons. Meal swipes can also be redeemed should you choose to participate in our Take 3 to-go program at East Campus Commons. Dining Dollars can be used in lieu of cash or flex dollar purchases at any of our dining locations, with the exception of Dunkin'®.
Dining Dollars are funds that are added to your Connect Card upon your purchase of a meal plan and are included in the cost. They can be used at all of our dining locations, with the exception of Dunkin'®.
Flex Dollars are an optional cash alternative at BSU and are also loaded onto the Connect Card. Flex dollars can be loaded through your myBSU account, in the Online Card Office, or at Cash to Card machines around campus. Flex dollars can be used at all of our dining locations, for laundry, copiers, vending machines, and other needs on campus. Flex dollars remain on your account during your enrollment at BSU and are refunded back to you after graduation (minus a $20.00 processing fee).
We have solutions for you! many students take advantage of our Choose to Reuse program at ECC and Flynn Dining Commons. Here's how it works:
- Pay a one time $5 Dining Dollar deposit to obtain your reusable green to-go container.
- Take your container into ECC or Flynn and fill it up for the cost of one Meal Swipe.
- Bring your used container back and we will clean it and provide you with a new one. Or, if you want to dine in, we'll give you a green carabiner clip to swap out for a container the next time you want your meal to-go.
- At the end of the semester or year, bring your gently used container or carabiner back and we'll return your $5 deposit to your Connect Card in the form of Dining Dollars.
Please note-if you lose your container or carabiner you will not receive a deposit return and will need to pay an additional $5.00 deposit for a new container.
We also have our Take 3 program at the entrance of ECC. This is a great solution for those who need to grab something quickly and easily. Select a freshly prepared sandwich or salad; enjoy a bottled beverage; and treat yourself with one of the approved program snacks for the cost of one meal swipe. For more information on either of these programs please see one of our team members.
Not to worry! Please contact the Wellness Center at (508)531-1252. They will notify our team about your condition. You can send someone to one of our dining locations with your Connect Card to pick up your meal. We hope you feel better soon!
